FToday I worked on installing 2 wood coat hanger hooks. First I needed to cover a freaking hole I made on the wall to hang my dog's towel and rain poncho. Then, I realized that getting the coat hanger hooks would help us much more during the winter to hang our wet coats, etc. Kind of trying to make an improvised mud room, if you must give it a name.
Installing a coat hanger hook is not a big deal unless you plan on hanging heavy stuff on it. So, I needed to be able to cover the huge hole I had made before, plus needed to at least find one wood stud on the wall in order to insert one of the three screws that come with the hanger.
These are the materials I used.
1. I used the stud finder. That is the orange ACE one. That beeps and shows a green light when there is a stud presence behind the wall. I made the mark.
2. I used the hanger package to mark the holes on the wall, making sure one of the holes feel below the mark I made where the stud is. Once the package hole pattern was on the wall, I used the picture hanging level to make sure the hanger would be leveled.

3. Used the drill to make the holes on the walls to insert a screw plug and then the screw.
4. Insert the screw plug by hammering it not too hard to not damage it.
5. Position the wood hanger, make sure the holes go right where the plugs are.
6. Insert the screws and use the screwdriver. I use an electrical screwdriver. it makes everything go easy.
I installed another wood hanger on the other side of the garage door, a little lower, so the girls could hang their own coats.
Voilá! it is done!
Latina's out!
