PROBLEMS/CHALLENGE/LET'S CHAT:
Today I had a slow day. No exercise. Also, no change on my challenge. I didn't even enter my sewing room. If that makes it clear enough. I am procrastinating again!!!! I also, felt a little sore throat, and that is why I have been drinking so much tea. On a bright side, I definitely had a lot done at home and that makes me really happy.

Today I remembered the first time I ate and liked salad; when I was 9, we used to live in Sao Paulo, Brasil. I don't remember where we had lunch, but I remember I was at the schools restaurant, which was fancy and all. We didn't eat there regularly, but, I remember I was with my father having lunch there once, and my plate had red beans with white rice and salad. I had I was near one of my teachers and I didn't want to look like a brat and not eat the salad, so I started having it. The Brazilian lettuce is usually  longer (at least that is how I saw it), I wasn't able to put it on my fork because it was slippery. My teacher came to my table and told me she could teach me how to eat it. So, she folded the lettuce with the fork and the knife, so easily, I realized it was kind of fun to eat it and it tasted so good. to me a regular salad consisted of lettuce, sliced tomatoes, and sliced cucumbers, once in a while my mother would put some radishes, but to me they tasted like onion, so they always stayed on the side of my plate. A regular plate for me growing up would be white rice, chicken or steak, and salad. French fries was a bonus. We would call that the dried food. Before the dried food we would have soup. YUM!!! It was simple food for a simple picky girl. I loved it!! I loved fruits so much as well, I would eat fruit every day. I even remember the fruit I liked the most was sweet mango. I loved mangoes, but sweet mangoes were the best. In hot weather cities in Colombia you can find trees full of mangoes. The sweet ones weren't easy to find. My mother used to get boxes of mangoes monthly. I remember when I was a teenager, I would wait for the box to arrive and our helper to open it and I would eat many of them. Once, I did not control myself and probably ate more than 5. I regretted it almost immediately!  Our helper told me how I should measured myself but I ignored her. Bad choice!!!

Image result for granadillasWe were big on veggies and fruits. I remember my mom used to make us beets and carrots juice. It was delicious! Of course she had to mix it with orange and banana to give it a better taste. It was really good! One of the fruits I wish I had here is granadilla. In consistency, is very similar to pomegranate, but it is smaller, outside is orange and inside is grayish/greenish, also, it is easier to eat. YUM!!! I am tired now!
